TRF is a national leader in the financing of neighborhood revitalization. What began in 1985 as a small community development organization working in Greater Philadelphia, has evolved into a progressive, results-oriented, socially responsible community investment group that today works across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Combining expert knowledge with innovation and determination, TRF delivers capital where it’s needed the most – where it can best transform lives and rebuild neighborhoods. We work closely with a diverse network of investors and business partners to galvanize private initiative and capital for the public good.

Together, we are investing in homes, schools, businesses and a clean energy future – paving the way for stronger, more vibrant communities and a region full of opportunity and growth.

How We Work

Cities are rich with potential, where capital when intelligently applied, can create opportunities for individuals and neighborhoods. We call this the “point of impact,” where capital can deliver its greatest influence. Financially. And socially.

With an approach that is both sophisticated and streetwise, we have pioneered innovative analytical tools and formed strategic partnerships that bring together investors, developers and entrepreneurs, enabling us to deliver capital precisely where it will do the most good.

Our Impact

Our results are concrete and measurable, immediate and lasting. They form the foundation on which we will continue to drive economies and improve lives. Since our inception, TRF has financed more than 2,300 projects, delivering $813 million in capital. Our impact:

  • 475 businesses,
  • 18,000 housing units,
  • 24,600 charter school slots,
  • 40,485 jobs,
  • 7.3 million square feet of commercial space, and
  • 1.6 million MWh of clean energy – enough to power over 150,000 homes for a year!
